Victorian Tray


 

Materials Needed:


1/2” flat brush
Ribbon
Tissue paper (floral, rose, or love themes): Gift wrap, floral cutouts, paper lace doily
Tray, papier-mâché or wood
Wood balls: 1-1/2”, (4) legs
 

Instructions:

For best results, please read all instructions before beginning project. Refer to photo for color and design placement.

1. Using Tacky Glue, glue the wood balls to the bottom of the tray for the legs. Let dry. Using 1/2” brush, paint the entire surface of the tray and legs with Gold acrylic paint.
2. Tear or cut out desired motifs from tissue paper, wrapping paper, or floral cutouts. Working in one small area at a time, use a clean brush to apply an even coat of Instant Decoupage. Place the design into the glue. Cover the design with a second coat of glue. Let dry. Continue this process until the entire tray is covered. Apply one final coat of Instant Decoupage Glue. Let dry.
3. Tie ribbon bows on each handle.
