My Own Bug

 

Materials:

Two 6"colored construction paper circles

5"colored construction paper circle

1/2 sheet of 9"x12"black construction paper

2 wing shapes (cut from laminating film)

Crayons

Scissors

Stapler

Glue

 

Instructions:

  1. Cut circles from colored paper.
  2. Cut black construction paper into half sheets. Cut excess laminating film into oval wing shapes (about 10 in. each). Slightly overlap the two larger circles and glue them together. Glue the smaller circle to one of the larger ones. Cut six rectangles from black construction paper for the legs and glue them on.
  3. Cut two antennae from black construction paper and glue them to the bug's head.
  4. Staple the wings to the center circle.
  5. Color the face and any of the body as desired.
