Instructions
 
Preparation
1. Cut, drill and sand all pieces. Body is cut from 1/2" Pine; rest of pieces from 1/4" Pine. Wipe with tack cloth to remove all dust.

2. Transfer patterns to wood.

Painting Instructions
1. Use 3/4" flat to basecoat body and arms with Light Buttermilk.

2. Load #5 round with Deep Burgundy; blot off excess, and with a circular motion, paint the cheeks.

3. Use marker for all line work - refer to pattern. Do not forget eyebrows. Paint eyes Lamp Black.

4. Highlight cheeks and eyes with Light Buttermilk.

5. Paint nose Burnt Orange; buttons and inside sign with Hauser Dark Green;
letters are Light Buttermilk. Allow to dry.

6. Paint tops of bulbs Shimmering Silver. Use X-acto knife to make cuts in bulb tops.

7. Spatter Lamp Black and Light Buttermilk separately.

8. Sand all edges of each piece to create worn look. Stain all pieces, to include tops of bulbs and middle of sign.

9. Paint two bulbs and edges of signs with Christmas Red Twinkles. Paint two bulbs Gold Twinkles, and two bulbs Christmas Green Twinkles.

10. Seal all pieces with Americana Matte Sealer.

11. Cut a 10"x4" piece of knit fabric. Sew sides and turn right side out. Use small piece of jute to tie the top. Cut 4 small pieces of jute, place through button holes, and hot glue on back. Hot glue assembly to top of snowman's head.

12. Affix snowman to wreath with wire. Cut two small slits in back of hat, and affix hat to wreath with wire. Hot glue back of hat to wreath.

13. Wire sign to wreath, and arms to body.

14. Hot glue arms to sign. Glue nose and buttons in place.

15. Cut a 4"x36" piece of flannel for scarf. Tie around neck, and cut off excess. Ravel the ends.

16. Cut 6 small pieces of wire and bend them to form a "u". Hot glue ends to back/top of bulbs.

17. Cut a piece of jumbo 5 ply jute. Use it to string 6 bulbs. Refer to photo for hot gluing in place.

18. To finish, paint Snow-Tex all over the wreath.
