2. Basecoat front and back of all markers with mixture of Cloud White and Golden Honey.

3. Transfer flower and leaf patterns.

PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
Hydrangea
1. Basecoat leaf with two coats of Pine Green. Float a darker shade next to flowers and on all edges. Create veins through center of leaf.

2. Apply Clear Coat to flower area. While wet, apply Blue Bell to top half of flower area and Pansy Purple to bottom half with slip-slap motion. Dab a touch of Pansy Purple along bottom edge of leaf and float a light shade to right of letters.

3. While paint is still wet, use #6 filbert and Cloud White to paint flowers. Start at top and work toward bottom to create four petals for each flower, three with a press, twist and pull motion toward center and one by pressing down on side of brush.

4. Dot inside of each flower with Sunshine Yellow.

Rose
1. Paint light leaves Lt. Eucalyptus Green using a pivot stroke.

2. Paint dark leaves, stems, veins, calyces and swirls Pine Green.

3. Stroke in roses and buds with double load of Geranium Red and Cloud White.

4. Create a small spray of Sunshine Yellow dots in flower centers.

Daisy
1. Stroke in leaves with double load of Pine Green and Lt. Eucalyptus Green.

2. Use DM Stippler to stipple daisy centers with Sunshine Yellow.

3. Paint in first set of petals with a mix of Pansy Purple and Cloud White.

4. Paint a second set of Cloud White petals on top of and slightly offset from first set of petals.

5. Stipple daisy centers again with Sunshine Yellow. While wet, stipple left side of center with double load of Sunshine Yellow and Patio Brick.

6. Double load stipple brush with Sunshine Yellow and White Cloud and stipple right side of center. Mix together and apply dots to left side of daisy center with liner.

7. Apply dots to left side of daisy center with Geranium Red and Wrought Iron Black.

8. Add curlicues and veins on leaves with Pine Green.

Geranium
1. Stroke leaves in a circular motion with Pine Green and Lt. Eucalyptus Green.

2. Add a light float of Geranium Red on outside edge of leaves. With finger, rub small amount to create a background shade inside the flower area. Create five-petal flowers with a press-pull-twist stroke toward the center of each bloom.

3. Place 5 to 7 small Sunshine Yellow dots in the center of each flower.

4. Paint stem and veins on leaves Pine Green.

5. Use fine-point Identa Pen to outline each petal.

Lettering
1. When all paint is dry, transfer the first couple of letters from flower pattern. Then, using letter pattern, complete the work. (Using both patterns will help properly center the name.)

2. Paint flower names with Wrought Iron Black; outline all letters and paint side edges of each marker with Pot O’ Gold.

3. On rose marker, shade left side of a letters except “O” with Woodland Brown. Shade right of “O”.

4. Write quotes for each flower on back with #411 Identa Pen:
Hydrangea: A spring day feeds the whole year.
Rose: An idealist is one who, on noticing that a rose smells better than a cabbage, concludes that it will also make better soup.
Daisy: The friendliest flower.
Geranium: Cheerfulness is the very flower of health.

FINISHING INSTRUCTIONS
