Instructions

PREPARATION
1. Clean surfaces of dust and/or debris as needed.

2. Remove protective coating from painting blanks.

PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
Note: Individual results will vary according to amount of paint used.

1. Pour all colors into a disposable cup, using the combinations listed below. DO NOT STIR. The following color combinations were used on this project: Primary Yellow and Lemon Lime; Leaf Green, Primary Yellow, Orange Lollipop, and Burgundy Blast; Orange Lollipop and Primary Yellow; Primary Red and Burgundy Blast

2. Pour the contents from each cup onto a separate painting blank. Tilt the blank back and forth to spread the paint evenly. If desired, to produce more variegation, use a toothpick to swirl paint around and/or dip a moistened toothbrush in paint and add spatters to paint on sheets.

3. Lay the painting blank flat and let dry 8-24 hours, depending on thickness of paint and climate.

4. Once the paint has dried, use the craft knife and ruler to cut the paint into strips about 2" wide.

5. Peel one strip at a time. Using the large and small maple leaf craft punches, cut leaves from strips. Keep at least a 1/2” border around each leaf, to be used later on the candle and votive. Randomly place the leaves onto the glass vase.

6. Set remaining unpunched strips aside to be used on the remaining pieces as needed.

Votive Holder
1. On one side of the votive holder, place a 2" square of Liquid Rainbow with a maple leaf cut from the center (use one of the remaining sections from step 4). Use a contrasting color of the 1-1/2” strips produced in the glass vase instructions to wrap around 3 sides of the glass votive holder.

2. Use the Gold Leading to outline the maple leaf and add dots to the other three sides as shown in photo.

Candle
1. Place a 2" square of Liquid Rainbow with a maple leaf cut from the center (use one of the remaining sections from step 4) on the candle, as shown in photo. Use a leaf, the same size but a contrasting color, to insert in the leaf hole.

2. Use the Gold Leading to outline the maple leaf and add dots to the other three sides.

Suncatchers
1. Place patterns under painting blank. Trace with Gold Leading. Let dry.

2. Fill with one or several colors of Liquid Rainbow from the palette. To produce more variegation use a toothpick to swirl paint around and/or a wet toothbrush with paint to spatter sheets.

3. Lay the painting blank flat and let dry 4-8 hours depending on thickness and climate.

4. Peel from blank and stick to window or any other glass surface.
