| PREPARATION Clean candles with rubbing alcohol. Large Candle 1. Tape off outside edges of a 2-1/2" band in center of candle. 2. Incise the line with sharp edge of pencil. 3. Sponge inside with Sand; remove tape and let dry. 4. Transfer pattern of bells and ribbon, scattering across interior of painted band. Place bells so each goes off the sides at a different point. PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS Note: Mix each color 1:1 with Candle Painting Medium. 1. Paint bells with Marigold; shade right sides with Titanium White. Add Glorious Gold accents to left sides. Highlight* band and bell openings with Titanium White. Paint bell openings with Burnt Umber. let dry, then proceed to next bell until all are complete. 2. Paint ribbon Cherry Red. Shade with 1:1 mix of Cherry Red and Burnt Umber. Highlight with liner, using Titanium White; let dry. 3. Below band of bells, use #6 shader to paint equally spaced 1/2" vertical lines of a 1:1 mix of Marigold and Sand; let dry. 4. Paint Glorious Gold line down center of each line, using liner. Paint a thin Titanium White line on either side, using liner; let dry. 5. Transfer leaf pattern scattered above and below bell band. Paint each stem Burnt Umber, highlighting with Marigold. Paint shadowed side of each leaf Antique Teal and each highlighted side with Hauser Medium Green. 6. Accent with Titanium White. 7. Use eraser end of pencil to place small Cherry Red berries. 8. Shade with Burnt Umber, and highlight with Titanium White dot. 9. Scatter Cherry Red dots on white area of candle. Small Round Candle - Transfer bell pattern, overlapping and accenting with ribbon. Paint as instructed above |
