Fall Floral Pot


 

Materials Needed:



Fan bristle brush
Artifacts metal carvings
Chunky stamp or stencil, ivy
Gold luster gems
Ivy, broken in pieces
Makeup wedge
Masking tape
Sandpaper, medium grit
Scissors
Terra-cotta pot
Toothpicks
 

Instructions:

For best results, please read all instructions before beginning project. Refer to photo for color and design placement.

1. Clean surfaces. Sand metal leaves.
2. Apply All-Purpose Primer to terra-cotta and metal surfaces.
3. Stencil or stamp on ivy, excluding rim of pot. Using makeup wedge, apply Deep Peach to first layer of ivy leaves, then apply Beige to overlapping ivy finishing with Gold layer of ivy. Let dry.
4. Drybrush as follows: Dip brush in color and wipe back and forth on a paper towel until almost all color is removed from brush. Stroke lightly over surface to build color. Drybrush Beige over rim and saucer and very lightly over ivy. Drybrush Deep Peach on rim and saucer, then drybrush Gold on rim, saucer and pot.
5. Base coat metal leaves Beige. Let dry.
6. Drybrush metal leaves Ivory. Let dry.
7. Drybrush Gold on edges of leaves. Let dry.
8. Apply Matte Varnish to front of leaves only.
9. Glue on gems and tape in place until dry.
10. Glue on leaves. Carefully remove tape when set.
