Elephant Box
Instructions:
For best results, please read all instructions before beginning project. Refer to photo for color and design placement.
| 1. | Dampen sea sponge; squeeze out excess moisture. |
| 2. | Lightly sponge the box and top of lid with the following colors, letting dry between coats: (1) Soft Sand, (2) Dusty Beige, (3) a mixture of two parts Burnt Umber and two parts Sand. |
| 3. | Transfer pattern around box. Paint in as follows: Elephant—True Grey; Swirls—five parts True Apricot and one part Burnt Umber; Leaves—Dark Sage. Repeat until design is complete. |
| 4. | Randomly sponge the leaf on the top of the lid. |
| 5. | Paint rim of lid with Deep Blush. Let dry. |
| 6. | Apply two coats of varnish. Let dry. |
| 7. | Glue jute around the center of the edge of the lid. Glue buttons about every 6-1/2” on jute. |
