Instructions

1. Following instructions on package, fill Fine Liner with Glorious Gold. Use the metal liner and Glorious Gold to cover and follow each and every line of the pattern. Strokes shown on the pattern are painted with Glorious Gold and the #2 round brush.

Note: Shadows and highlights are created by placing a dot or short line of the appropriate color, and while it is still wet, pull out thin lines that follow the contour of the petal or leaf.

2. Leaves: Basecoat the light leaves with Hauser Lt. Green and the dark leaves with Viridian Green with a touch of White. Dark linework is Lamp Black. Light linework is White with just a touch of Viridian Green.

3. Purple Flowers and Buds: Basecoat with Royal Purple with a touch of White to make a medium value. Dark linework is Royal Purple. Light linework is the basecoat color plus more White. Place a dot of Royal Purple at the tip of each bud.

4. Blue Flowers: Basecoat with White plus a little Blueberry mixed to a medium value. Dark linework is Blueberry. Light linework is White.

5. Pink Flowers: Base with White and a touch of Alizarin Crimson to make a middle value. Dark linework is Alizarin Crimson. Light linework is White.

6. Bird is based with White. Shadow is Prussian Blue.

7. Re-paint any gold lines that may have been covered with paint. Use the small round and/or the #10/0 script brush and Glorious Gold to paint any remaining fill-in strokes.

8. Dampen the sea sponge with water and remove excess moisture. Dab lightly into Glorious Gold and dab on palette until you have a lacy design. Dab on routed areas around the design area. Fill in the outside routing with a coat of Glorious Gold.

9. Seal shelf with DuraClear Gloss Varnish (always use gloss varnish when you use metallic colors).
