Egg Carton Stegosaurus

 

 

Materials:

Two cardboard egg cartons

Four toilet paper rolls

Paint

Glue

Scissors


Instructions:
1. Use one TP roll for the body.  Cut another TP roll about 3” long.  Cut 1/2” slits into one end of the roll. Put glue around the slit end and slide it into the body TP roll to make the neck.
2. Cut another TP roll about 3 1/4” long to make the back legs. Cut a “U” shape out of one end about 2” long and as wide as the TP roll.  Cut it to fit around the body TP roll.  Glue it onto the body.
3. Cut another TP roll about 2 1/2” long for the front legs.  Cut two “U” shapes to fit the TP roll around the body TP roll.
4. Cut little “V” shapes at the bottom of the legs and draw lines all the way up to the top of the legs to make the legs look separate. 
5. Cut a center bumps out of the egg cartons leaving them attached to each other. Separate one bump to use as the head.  Glue it to the neck.
6. Use the other row of bumps for the dinosaur’s boney plates. Glue them along the top of the neck and body.
7. Paint the dinosaur.
