Dazzling Metallics are available in a vibrant array, ranging from delicate pastels to deep, rich shades, such as Glorious Gold. They are non-toxic and perform beautifully on virtually any craft surface. Dazzling Metallics can be squeezed, spattered, or brushed onto the surface of your choice. Transferring patterns Lay tracing paper over pattern and draw the basic lines. Lay this tracing on the surface to be painted. Slip graphite paper between the tracing and the surface. Tape to secure. Trace with a pencil to transfer the design. Do not trace details until after basecoating has dried. Painting Instructions Use #4 brush for small areas, #10 brush for large areas, fan brush for Royal Metallics, and detail brush for line work. 1. Paint large lid with equal mix Black Pearl and Crystal Green. 2. Paint small lid with equal mix Rose Pearl and Copper. 3. Mix Glorious Gold with Brilliant Silver and paint rim of large lid and sides of small box. 4. Paint rim of small lid and sides of large box with Brilliant Silver. 5. Mask off corner openings and reverse colors used. (Refer to photo.) 6. Carefully lift off masking tape. Use detail liner to paint lines using red mixture where the masking tape edge is on large box; lines using green mixture where edge is on small box . 7. Trace design and transfer onto sides of box. Use red mixture for berries, and green mixture for holly leaves. 8. Outline berries and leaves. Use Brilliant Silver on Glorious Gold background; Glorious Gold on Brilliant Silver background. 9. When all is dry, secure the boxes together with cording and ribbon. Glue may be used to keep boxes from wiggling loose. |
