| Painting Instructions - All
Boxes 1. Basecoat box Hauser Dark Green with 1" wash brush. 2. Basecoat lid with 1" wash brush and Royal Gold. Basecoat all pattern areas with #3 round and Royal Gold. 3. Transfer pattern. 4. With #8 brush, float poinsettias with Royal Ruby plus a touch of Ice Blue; leaves with Crystal Green; and berries with a mix of Ice Blue plus a touch of Royal Ruby. Also use the mix to float darker shadows on poinsettia. 5. With #8 shader, drybrush Oyster Pearl highlights on leaves, flowers, berries, and box lid. 6. Tole strokes are painted with #1 liner and Pale Gold. 7. Spatter with Glorious Gold. Finishing Instructions 1. With tacky glue, affix ribbon to lid. 2. Make a florist bow, and hot glue in place. Preparation For Ornaments Wash glass with vinegar and water, or rubbing alcohol. Rinse thoroughly with water and dry with soft cloth. Painting Instructions Ornaments 1. Pour separate puddles of each paint onto palette or plastic plate. 2. With one of the Royal Metallic colors on the brush, dab over entire surface. While wet, dip dirty brush into one or more of the Dazzling Metallics colors and randomly dab on surface to create a marbled effect. Let dry. 3. Loop metallic cord or ribbon through wire hanger. Knot the ends and tie a bow close to the wire hanger. |
