    PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
    Birdhouse
    1. Basecoat roof and base with Woodland Brown and remainder of birdhouse with Daisy Cream.

    2. Apply Weathered Wood to base and roof. Let set for 30 minutes. Quickly coat with Daisy Cream, using a flat brush. Let dry.

    3. Double load brush with Woodland Brown and Wrought Iron Black. Get brush very wet and let a little of each color drip down off the roof for an old look. Also rub or float a little of these two colors on the base.

    4. Put puddles of Light Sage Green, Cloud White and Clear Coat on palette. With damp sea sponge, dip in all three loosely. Sponge background, turning sponge each time before you press onto the wood.

    5. Stipple daisy centers with Fiesta Yellow. Add petals with #6 filbert brush and Cloud White.

    6. Float Concrete Grey with 1/2" or #12 flat brush around yellow centers. Also pull tiny lines from the center out on each petal.

    7. Stipple centers again with Fiesta Yellow while wet. Double load DM stippler with Pinecone Brown and Fiesta Yellow and stipple left side of each center, with dark to the left. Wipe out brush, double load with Fiesta Yellow and Cloud White and stipple the white on right side. Dot centers on shaded side with Wrought Iron Black, white and Patio Brick.

    8. Leaves are a double load of Fern Green and Clear Coat with the green to the outside for a soft transparent look. Veins and curliques are Fern Green.

    9. Load #4 filbert with 1:1 mix of Blue Bell and Clear Coat and make a five-petal flower with a press, pull, pull and twist to a point motion. Add a few single petals here and there. Centers are a large dot of Fiesta Yellow; place small dots with Patio Brick.

    Terra cotta pots
    1. Basecoat body of one pot with Woodland Brown. Paint rim Light Sage Green and inside pot, including the drain hole, Daisy Cream.

    2. Apply Weathered Wood over Woodland Brown and, after 30 minutes, coat quickly with Daisy Cream.

    3. Transfer pattern for one daisy, leaves and small flowers or freehand onto pot. Paint as described in birdhouse instructions.
