Preparation: Basecoat entire
wood surface with Hauser Dark Green. When dry, transfer pattern. Fill Fine
Liner with Glorious Gold (HINT: Put a small square of panty hose over bottle
opening. This keeps tip from being clogged by dried paint), and outline all
pattern lines. Allow to dry. Painting Instructions General: Basecoat with indicated color using Sure Stroke brush. Shadow or Highlight is a tiny dot of color; while it is still wet, use liner to pull out thin lines. 1. Leaves: use Sure Stroke to basecoat with Jade Green. Shadow is Evergreen, and highlight is Snow White plus a touch of Jade Green. 2. Pink Petals or Berries: Using Sure Stroke, basecoat with with Raspberry Pink. Shadow is Deep Burgundy, and highlight is Snow White. 3. Red Petals or Berries:Basecoat with Sure Stroke and Country Red. Shadow is a brush-mix of Deep Burgundy and Deep Midnight Blue. Highlight is Brilliant Red. 4. Dragonfly detail is painted with Glorious Gold and liner brush.Wings are a wash of Snow White. Wing pattern design is thinned Deep Burgundy. 5. When everything is dry, reapply Glorious Gold where needed. Randomly alternate strokes with Finer liner and script liner brush. 6. Using Fine Liner, trim edges with Glorious Gold for dark area, and Champagne Gold for lighter area. 7. Use Factis eraser to remove excess pattern lines. You will have to use pressure. Finishing Instructions Apply two coats of Dura Clear Gloss Varnish; allow drying between coats. |
