Painting Instructions
Transfer Apron pattern to the slate. 1. Hearts: Base with Sunflower Yellow. Let dry, then base with one coat of Golden Honey. Shade edges with Patio Brick. Using a palette knife, apply the Decorating Paste as frosting. While wet, add the cake decorating sprinkles. Let dry completely before spraying with Gloss Spray Sealer. 2.Gingerbread:base with Sunflower Yellow until completely covered. Using Golden Honey, apply one coat over Sunflower Yellow to give the look of a wash. Shade outer edge of gingerbread and around apron with a float of Patio Brick. 3. Apron: base with Daisy Cream. Apply pocket and utensils pattern to apron. Paint spatula top with a 50/50 mix of sunflower Yellow + Daisy Cream. Shade edges with Sunflower Yellow, then deepen with Golden Honey. Handle is Golden Honey; shade with Patio Brick. Wooden spoon is Golden Honey; shade with Patio Brick. Outline pocket with a float of Golden Honey. Lightly float on pocket where utensils rest inside to give form. Shade the edges of apron, top of straps and bottom of neckline with Golden Honey. 4. Eyes: base with Wrought Iron Black. Float the left side with Daisy Cream. Double dot top right and single dot bottom right with Daisy Cream. 5. Mix Patio Brick + Daisy Cream 50/50 for cheek color. Lightly pounce on cheeks. Dot top of each cheek with Daisy Cream. 6. Nose and buttons: base with Wrought Iron Black. Float a highlight of Daisy Cream on left side. Dot Daisy Cream on top right. Dot mouth Wrought Iron Black with a tiny dot of Daisy Cream on top right. 7. Icing: Use the smallest decorating tip in kit. Put Decorating Paste into bag with tip attached, then ice the gingerbread. If you make a mistake, gently wipe off and start again. Wash tip parts when finished. Let dry. Shade edges with Golden Honey. Finishing Instructions spray with sealer. Wire cookies together, then wire to the hands. Leave a loop behind center cookie for hanging purposes. |
