Preparation
Wash glassware in lukewarm soapy water. Rinse well. Rinse again in a mixture of 1 part vinegar + two parts water. Dry with lint-free cloth. Cut pattern. Tape pattern inside glassware to show through glass. Center designs as necessary.

Painting Instructions
1. Basecoat designs onto glassware with Gloss White, using a #3 or #1 Round Brush. Pick up small amounts of paint and apply thin layers of smooth, even strokes. Allow to dry for one hour. (If you try to paint over wet Ultra Gloss, the basecoat will lift up.)

2. Apply Cranberry to Santa’s hat, heart, sock and candy cane stripes. Apply Hunter Green to tree and holly, Cadmium Yellow to star; Sable Brown to gingerbread man and tree base; Flesh to Santa and Black to snowman’s hat. Apply a second coat of Gloss White to white areas. Allow to dry one hour and then re-apply all colors as desired.

3. When dry, detail designs as follows: Santa’s Face: Mix a little Cranberry + Gloss White for cheeks, using a Liner Brush. Dip toothpick in Gloss Black; dot on eyes. heart: Crosshatch with Gloss Black and Cadmium Yellow, using Liner Brush. Holly: Use Liner Brush and Gloss Black for leaf vein. Use paintbrush handle dipped in Cranberry to dot on berries. Snowman: Dip toothpick in Gloss Black and use to dot on eyes, mouth and buttons. Tree: Dip paintbrush handle in Cranberry and dot on ornaments. Use Liner to make star tree topper with Cadmium Yellow. Stocking: Use Liner to stripe stocking with Gloss White. Star: Use Liner to make “stitches” with Gloss Black. Gingerbread Man: Paint vest in Hunter Green with Round Brush. Dip toothpick in Gloss White; dot on eyes. Use Liner Brush to paint “frosting” mouth and wavy lines on arms and legs with Gloss White. Allow to dry. outline designs with Gloss Black, using a Long Liner.
