Product Note:
When basecoating, mix Wood Sealer with the paint(1:1).

Transfer Patterns:
After basecoating trace the basic lines of pattern onto tracing paper with a pencil. Lay tracing paper on the surface, slip graphite paper between the surface and the tracing. Transfer the design by tracing with a pencil.

Painting Instructions
Towel Holder
1. Paint the oval Light Buttermilk. Transfer cherry pattern.

2. Painting Instructions for Cherries: Paint the cherries Napa Red. Use the Scrubber to brush mix Napa Red and Antique Teal to make a plum color. Scrub excess color off on the palette. When using the Scrubber Brush, pounce in the color or scrub the color. Apply the plum mix to the underside of the cherries and where one lies under another. Work this mix toward the middle. Clean the brush and apply Light Buttermilk at the top of the cherries, working it toward the middle. Using the Liner, apply the plum mix where the stem joins the cherry. Highlight with a Light Buttermilk comma stroke. Stems and stroke work are Antique Teal.

3. The front of the holder is stained Maple. The first routered edge and spindles are painted Antique Teal. The second edge and the knobs on the spindles are Napa Red. The wooden dowel is Light Buttermilk.

Crate
1. Stain everything with the exception of the two ends with Maple Gel Stain. Paint the ends and the top slats Light Buttermilk.

2. Transfer cherry pattern twice on the top slats. Paint the cherries (refer to Towel Holder instructions step #2). Mix equal parts Antique Teal, Clear Gel and Brush 'n Blend. Apply mixture over the Light Buttermilk ends.

3. While still wet, roll up a piece of brown paper bag and tightly twist it. Start at the top edge and roll the bag toward you.

Finishing Instructions
Apply a light coat of Matte Varnish.
