Patio Paint Note: This is a self-sealing exterior paint. Therefore, no prior preparation is needed, except for sanding when working on wood. For other surfaces, follow directions on label. Patio Paints may be used on all porous surfaces such as concrete, terra cotta, wood, plaster, etc. Because of the self-sealing agents, they do not require a varnish upon completion. They also have an extended open time (take longer to dry) to make antiquing possible. (I prefer to use Clear Coat as a medium for thinning and floating Patio Paints.) Transfer Pattern Painting Instructions 1. Basecoat birdhouse and sleigh with Geranium Red. 2. Paint birdhouse top and sleigh runners with Wrought Iron Black. 3. Refer to photo and paint the snow areas with Concrete Grey. Stipple with Cloud White. 4. While paint is still wet sprinkle on glitter. 5. Basecoat blanket on sleigh Antique Mum. Do large stripe in Sprout Green and narrow stripe in Light Waterfall Blue. Float shadows with Woodland Brown and highlights with Daisy Cream. Do band on edge of blanket in Light Waterfall Blue. Apply linework with Wrought Iron Black. 6. Basecoat the snowmen with Concrete Grey. Stipple with Cloud White. Paint hat Wrought Iron Black. Paint hat band Pine Green. Dot nose with Geranium Red. Dot eyes and linework with Wrought Iron Black. Glue a button to the center. 7. Basecoat stars in Sunflower Yellow. Float edges Golden Honey. Apply linework with Wrought Iron Black. 8. Basecoat trees in Pine Green. Stipple snow at the top of the tree with Cloud White. Apply linework with Wrought Iron Black. 9. Basecoat train in Wrought Iron Black. Dot wheels and do roof Geranium Red. Grey areas are Concrete Grey. 10. Basecoat candy canes in Cloud White. Stripes are Sprout Green and Geranium Red. Float Light Waterfall Blue. Apply linework with Wrought Iron Black. Finishing Instructions 1. Refer to photo and glue on pieces as desired. Glue ribbon and jute as shown. 2. Spatter with Cloud White. |
