PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Basecoat tiles with Daisy Cream, using 1" flat brush.

2. Transfer each design to center of each slate.

3. Paint designs as follows:

DAFFODIL
1. Paint leaves Fern Green and shade with Pine Green and highlight with Fiesta Yellow, using #2 liner and #4 flat brush.

2. Paint outer petals Fiesta Yellow with #4 flat brush. Outline with 1:1 mix of Fiesta Yellow and Tiger Lily Orange.

3. Triple load #4 brush with Fiesta Yellow on sides and Tiger Lily Orange in center. Pull from outside in to make daffodil center.

4. Float thinned Geranium Red on outer edge. Shade flower center with thinned Fern Green and pull two or three strokes of Cloud White from center.

PANSY
1. Paint leaves Fern Green, shade with Pine Green and highlight with Fiesta Yellow with #2 liner and #4 flat brush.

2. Combine violet mix (1:3 mix of Geranium Red and Tango Blue) with equal part Cloud White to paint petals. Outline with thinned violet mix.

3. Shade flower center with Fern Green and Cloud White. Pull strokes of violet mix from center outwardly and highlight tips of each stroke with Cloud White.

ROSE
1. Paint leaves Fern Green, shade with Pine Green and highlight with Fiesta Yellow with #2 liner and #4 flat brush.

2. Double load #4 flat brush with Geranium Red and Cloud White. Fill in with white on the outer edge of each petal. With 1:2 mix of Pine Green and Geranium Red, outline each petal.

TIGER LILY
1. Paint leaves Fern Green, shade with Pine Green and highlight with Fiesta Yellow with #2 liner and #4 flat brush.

2. Fill in petals with 1:1 mix of Tiger Lily Orange and Cloud White. Float Fiesta Yellow for highlight.
3. Mix 1:1 mix of Tiger Lily Orange and Geranium Red and pull strokes with #2 liner from center outward. (Refer to photo.) Dot petals lightly with same color.

4. From the center, add three or four strokes of Cloud White with dots of Woodland Brown at end.

FINISHING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Antique each tile with Woodland Brown and wipe back with moist towel. Let dry.

2. Antique again with Golden Honey and wipe back. Repeat as many times as necessary to achieve desired effect.

3. Thin Woodland Brown with water and lightly spatter over entire surface with toothbrush.
