Instructions

PREPARATION
Clean candle with rubbing alcohol and glass and acrylic pieces with 1:1 mix of vinegar and water.

PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
Frame
1.Tape off 1-1/2" area around outside of frame. Paint Country Blue with large flat brush. Use #10 flat brush to paint white swirls.

2. Double load #10 flat brush with Clear Medium and 1:1 mix of Country Blue and True Blue; paint shadows diagonally on frame corners.

3. Tape off 1/2" inset. Double load #10 flat brush with Country Blue and Gloss White and paint sides in stripe pattern. Repeat same across top and bottom of frame using True Blue and Gloss White.

4. For corners of inset, use #10 flat brush to paint 1/2" square with Country Blue. Load pouncer with 1:1 mixture of Royal Fuchsia and white, press to corner areas to create flower shape. Double load #6 flat brush with Royal Fuchsia and Clear Medium. With Royal Fuchsia on right side of brush; shade right sides of flowers.

5. Double load same brush with white and Clear Medium; highlight left side of flowers. Dip end of brush in white and dab onto center of flowers. Double load #6 flat with Country Blue; shade right side of flower centers.

6. For leaves, double load #6 flat with Sage Green and white. Press brush to side of flower, pull and twist brush to end stroke on chisel. Repeat for other side of same leaf (keep green on right side of brush).

3-Drawer Chest
1. Dip sea sponge into Country Blue and Gloss White; dab onto outside of chest. Dry. Reinforce cloud design with sponge dipped in white.

2. Transfer butterfly patterns to outside of chest. Basecoat pink butterflies with Royal Fuchsia. With #6 flat brush double loaded in Royal Fuchsia and white, paint stripes vertically on upper wings and border along outside of wings.

3. Dip end of brush in Royal Fuchsia and dab dots along top side of wings (begin at inside of wing and move out – dots will decrease in size). Use 10/0 round brush dipped in white and add swirls to bottom wings. Shade underside of top wings with double load of Royal Fuchsia, True Blue and Clear Medium.

4. Double load brush with Country Blue and True Blue; apply single stroke for body. Use 10/0 round brush to paint antenna with Royal Fuchsia.

5. Basecoat blue butterflies with Country Blue. Shade wings with double load of True Blue and Clear Medium. Add dip dots of white to outside of upper wings. Add swirls with white.

6. With #6 flat brush dipped in white, add checkerboard pattern to bottom wings. Paint body same as above. Paint antenna Royal Fuchsia.

7. For green butterflies, basecoat Sage Green, add checked pattern to outline of wings. Dip dot 1:1 mixture of Sage Green and white to upper wings, add white diagonal stripes to bottom wings. Paint body and antenna same as above.

8. Dip dot flight pattern with white.

9. Basecoat 2 drawers Country Blue, 1 white. Paint flowers same as above.

Bottle
1. Basecoat Country Blue on bottom portion and white across top; dry.

2. Double load brush with Country Blue and white to blend colors together across middle of bottle. Add flowers same as for frame.

Candle & Plate
1. Apply stripes with Country Blue and white to rim of candle plate. Basecoat center white; add flowers same as for frame.

2. Mix Candle Painting Medium 1:1 with Country Blue and with then with white. Double load brush to paint vertical stripes. Dry.

3. Reduce blue butterfly design to fit candle; transfer. Paint same as for chest, mixing all colors 1:1 with Candle Painting Medium.

Brush, Clips & Barrettes
1. Basecoat handle of brush Royal Fuchsia; add white swirls with 10/0 round brush. Using #6 flat, paint white lattice design on backside. Add flowers same as for frame.

2. Basecoat one set of clips with white, add Royal Fuchsia center and comma stroke of white to one side of center. Basecoat another set with Country Blue and dip dot center with white and Royal Fuchsia. Basecoat third set True Blue with crisscross white center.

3. Basecoat first set of barrettes white. Spatter with Royal Fuchsia. Basecoat second set with Royal Fuchsia and add white swirls. Basecoat third set True Blue. Add flowers as above, using #4 flat brush.
