Ultra Gloss Acrylic Enamels provide a durable, high-gloss finish to almost any hard surface. Ultra Gloss is safe, easy-to-use and non-toxic. There are 36 colors and a clear medium to create soft tints and durable glazes. Transferring Pattern Lay tracing paper over pattern and draw the basic lines. Lay this tracing on the surface to be painted. Tape to secure. Slip graphite paper between the tracing and the surface. Trace with a pencil to transfer the design. Do not trace details until after basecoating has dried. Glass Preparation Wash glass with mix of 2 tablespoons vinegar and 1/2 cup water. Dry thoroughly. Painting Instructions For both items 1. Basecoat* candy cane Christmas Red using #8 shader. 2. With old brush, stipple* greenery in Hunter tipped in Emerald Pearl. 3. Stroke flowers with script liner in Rose Pearl tipped in Gloss White. Dot center Cadmium Yellow. 4. Stroke leaves with script liner in Hunter. 5. Basecoat ribbon with script liner in Light Blue Pearl. 6. Line candy cane and ribbon in Hunter using Fine Liner. Horse 1. Stipple saddle in Light Blue Pearl using old brush. 2. Basecoat mane and tail Gloss White plus a touch of Cadmium Yellow using #8 shader. 3. Using old brush, stipple cheeks Gloss White plus a touch of Christmas Red. Frame 1. Do lettering in Christmas Red using script liner. Techniques: *Basecoat: Total opaque coverage (solid). Two thin coats are preferable to one heavy coat. *Stipple: Load old fluffy brush in color. Wipe off excess on paper towel. Use up-and-down patting motion on surface. |
