        Instructions
     
    PREPARATION - Sand and seal all surfaces.

    PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
    1. Use 3/4" brush to paint Patina Green on box top, inside and bottom of lid, brush Misty Mauve on sides and bottom of box and basecoat edge of lid and top flat area on inside of box Light French Blue.

    2. Transfer pattern onto lid, using tape to keep areas separated and give clean edge while basecoating.

    3. Refer to pattern for numbered sections.

    SECTION 1
    1. Basecoat French Mauve. Shade edges Raspberry with 1/2" wash brush.

    2. Use #4 scumbler to stipple center White Wash plus French Mauve.

    3. With liner, line stem Deep Teal.

    4. Use filbert to stroke petals on flowers White Wash. Dot centers Moon Yellow with stylus.

    5. With 10/0 liner, stroke leaves Deep Teal.

    SECTION 2
    1. Shade edges Deep Teal using #8 shader.

    2. Stipple center White Wash with #6 scumbler.

    SECTION 3
    1. Basecoat Grey Sky. Shade edges Light French Blue with #8 shader.

    2. Use #6 scumbler to stipple center White Wash plus Grey Sky.

    3. Basecoat butterfly Moon Yellow, highlight White Wash, shade Antique Gold with #2 shader.

    4. With #6 shader, basecoat leaves Green Mist, highlight White Wash, shade Deep Teal and basecoat center rose French Mauve; highlight White Wash plus French Mauve; shade Raspberry.

    5. Paint remaining roses Raspberry highlighted French Mauve, shaded Burgundy Wine.

    SECTION 4
    Basecoat stripe Khaki Tan. Shade Mississippi Mud using #2 shader.

    SECTION 5
    1. Basecoat Moon Yellow, shade Antique Gold with #6 shader.

    2. With #4 scumbler, stipple center White Wash.

    3. For plaid, with #0 flat brush, wash Deep Teal horizontally and vertically. Line one side with Raspberry.

    HOSE
    1. With #2 shader, basecoat Deep Teal, highlight Green Mist. Shade Black Green;.basecoat nozzle Dove Grey, highlight White Wash. Shade Neutral Grey.

    2. Stipple center Green Mist with #2 scumbler.

    3. With #2 round brush, stroke water drops French Grey Blue. With filbert, highlight White Wash. Shade Deep Midnight Blue. Line and dot highlight White Wash.

    SIDES OF BOX BOTTOM
    Paint pattern as directed in Section 1.

    FINISHING INSTRUCTIONS
    1. Outline all shapes with solid line using pen. Ink lettering and inside each shape with a wiggly line broken up with dots and dashes, keeping this close to original solid line.

    2. Dot tips of letters and ends of butterfly’s antennae Lamp Black.

    3. Spray three light coats of Americana Matte Spray.

    4. Follow package directions for flocking inside of box (not lid).
