  • Other Materials & Supplies - Pencil, scotch tape, scissors, 10 pcs various lengths 24-gauge wire (LW2450, Lara’s Crafts), 2 ea 5" lengths wire (BHG60033, Better Homes & Gardens), paper clip, hot glue & glue sticks, rubbing alcohol

        Instructions
     
    PREPARATION
    Clean candle with alcohol and terra cotta saucer with tack cloth.

    PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
    Terra Cotta Saucer
    1. Basecoat White Wash, using 1" flat.
    2. Basecoat outside up to rim Wisteria, using #8 flat. Add 3/8" stripes with Summer Lilac.
    3. Paint words on rim in Lamp Black with #1 liner.

    Candle
    1. Sponge on 1:1 mix of Candle Painting Medium and Hauser Light Green.
    2. Basecoat with 2:1 mix of Hauser Light Green and White Wash, using 1" flat. Let dry.
    3. Coat candle with Weathered Wood, using 1" flat. When dry, paint with mix of Hauser Light Green and White Wash. (Apply thickly in short strokes in random pattern.)
    4. Basecoat teapot Pineapple, using #8 flat. Paint handle and spout Deep Periwinkle with #8 shader. Add White Wash dots with brush handle.
    5. Make dots on body of teapot with Deep Periwinkle and Petal Pink. Paint leaves Hauser Light Green with #4 liner. Make small dots randomly, using Lamp Black and tip of paper clip.
    6. Basecoat teacup White Wash with #8 shader and handle Deep Periwinkle with #6 shader. Make dots on teacup body with brush handle and Deep Periwinkle.
    7. For tea bags, basecoat 2 rectangles with White Wash and #8 flat. Lightly sponge bottom halves Burnt Orange, then Burnt Sienna. Add small random strokes over sponged area, using same colors and #4 liner. For tags, paint square woodsies with #8 shader, one Pineapple with Peony Pink lines, one Peony Pink with black dots.
    8. Paint both sides of hearts Peony Pink with #6 shader.

    Frame
    Follow instructions for candle, omitting Candle Painting Medium. Refer to photo for color placement.

    FINISHING INSTRUCTIONS
    Hot glue various pieces, referring to photo for placement. (Add plugs to back of cup.) Spray with Americana Matte Spray.
